Time
I just noticed that almost all of my posts say they were posted sometime in the wee hours of the morning. I know that they weren’t, so something must be off with the time stamp on WordPress. So, as an experiment, let’s see what time this one says. It’s currently 2:33am Saturday morning.
Update: It’s 6 hours off but I figured out how to fix it. Now I just have to poke around and find the default time zone setting.
Ice Storm!
There’s an ice storm a’comin’! It’s the second winter “event” we’ve had this year- how exciting! I am just glad that I’m off for a 3 day weekend and can hibernate.
New Digital Camera
Here are a couple of new pictures of me for no better reason than that Ryan just got a digital camera for work and is picture happy.
This is my annoyed look-

And this is me hugging Ian while he tries to get away-
I am happy to report..
Wow, I’ve just read over some comments and past posts, and you would think I am a very negative person from this site. Okay, so I am generally a negative person. But I’m also a very optimistic person full of faith in magic and goodness. So, I’m going to focus on good for a while. This week, I am happy to report:
- Ryan’s procedure went flawlessly. He was feeling good enough to demand fast food on the way home and was back to work the next day.
- It rained all day on the 4th, and stopped just in time for fireworks! No grass fires and very cool temperatures!
- I only have 1 week of class left in my first term, and I still have an A!
- I had enough money to pay my bills tonight
- Ryan and Ian are giving me time to myself so I can pay bills and stuff. How sweet of them!
- It has been 8 1/2 whole months since I quit smoking!
- Ian knows all of his planets, and he taught me a catchy litle song to help me remember them.
- The lottery was an hour and a half ago, and I haven’t checked the numbers yet. I may very well be rich!
- I woke up with a snuggly kitty on my pillow this morning. Any day that starts with a kitty snuggle has to be good, right?
1.5 pounds down!
I pigged out at Outback and somehow lost 1 1/2 pounds since yesterday morning. That's the first movement I've seen on the scale in over 3 months, having gained 30 pounds in the first 2 months after I quit smoking. It's very frustrating, becuase I've made several changes recently: giving up my McDonald's stop on the way to work and replacing it with a granola bar, giving up my afternoon vending machine trip and replacing it with hard candy, and working out a couple of days/ week on my lunch break. Until today I hadn't seen ANY good come of that. But apparently going out and eating a 2000 calorie meal somehow caused me my body to drop a pound. Makes no sense to me.
Patriotic Munchkin Alert
Click the link below to hear my adorable child reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing a song about how proud he is to live in America. It's totally cute! And, when he's a famous musician, it will be worth a bundle!
